Senior Supply Chain Co-ordinator – Logistics CYC
We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Supply Chain Co-ordinator – Logistics CYC at our site in Barrow.
As a Senior Supply Chain Co-ordinator – Logistics CYC, you will be responsible for ensuring all inventory is received, checked, stored and maintained and subsequently packed or kitted and transported to point of use.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work within an integral part of the BAE Submarines business operating in over 25 locations across the site. The main purpose of Logistics is to receipt, store, kit, delivery and issue 100% Materials & Tooling to the customer.
Your main responsibilities as a Senior Supply Chain Co-ordinator – Logistics CYC will involve:
Producing, analysing and coordinating information to support Logistics processes. Utilising data to identify, act upon and recommend improvements on Logistics activities
Reviewing and improving processes using lean tools and techniques
Managing Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) in order to continuously drive and increase performance
Co-ordinating project plans, ensuring the plans are accurate and updated on a regular basis
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Working collaboratively across the functions in order to resolve problems and achieve high standards of performance (and in supporting the Team Leader)
Adhering to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People principles
Familiarisation with all customer requirements within each relevant technical area
Supporting the delivery of departmental objectives, continuous improvement processes, review and implementation
Your skills and qualifications as a Senior Supply Chain Co-ordinator – Logistics CYC:
Project & schedule Management
Good communicator and a high level of presentation skills
Advanced IT skills (Microsoft, SAP)
Able to deal with internal/external stakeholders across multiple levels and functions
Functional knowledge of the transport/freight industry
Have an understanding of the working time directive for driving and duty hours
Inventory Control using an ERP/MRP system
