We are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to come and join the UK Terminals function. You will report into the Supply Chain Manager, working with them to maximise on time customer availability of products whilst balancing business risk on inventory for the UK.
You need to be someone who can use data and help bridge the gap between supply chain and retail, to understand what is happening with stock in a meaningful way. You will be challenged by our Head of Retail and other senior stakeholders in this area, so you need to be someone who is comfortable with challenge and pushing back as needed.
This is a demanding role in a fast paced area of the business. The team is small, but look after £1.5bn worth of stock so you get to deal with a massive amount of spend in the business. This role needs someone who is flexible, happy to pitch in and get involved in some exciting launches. This is a busy role with no chance to get bored. Ready?
You’ll be responsible for:
Owning all inventory activity from point of PO to removal from sale. Influence commercial, marketing and portfolio teams to ensure that right decisions taken at right time to achieve Vodafone’s objectives.
Simplifying and improving supply chain processes including building collaborative relationships across Terminals team and vendors, measuring performance of self and vendors to achieve supply chain excellence
Running collaborative allocation planning based on BAU trends, Promos, Sales activities, and Recalls
Working proactively with Terminals marketing to (1)- launch new products successfully, ensuring all parts of the supply chain are informed and ready to manage each product by the launch date (2) – balance their needs and targets with those of Supply Chain, finding a suitable compromise and best decision for Vodafone where needed.
Things we consider critical to the role:
Expertise in use of stock and planning systems to manage stock inbounding, allocations and replenishment
S&OP process (Supply Planning sub-process)
Expertise in building\using Excel information to present\interpret supply chain data
Utilise demand planning and vendor relationships to optimise KPI performance
