The Boeing Company is currently looking for a Supply Chain Specialist, based in Pratica di Mare (Rome). KC-767A Italy Tanker Program supports the Italian Air Force (ItAF) KC-767A fleet located at Pratica di Mare, Air Base, Rome Italy. This Program is part of the International Government Services of the Boeing Global Services Division. The Tanker Program is looking to strengthen the local Supply Chain team. In this position the candidate will:
Support Supply Chain Management (SCM) planning, organization, execution, and integration activities related to the KC-767 Tanker Performance Based Logistics (PBL) contract.
Interfaces with the KC-767 Program Management, the Tanker Technical Office the Asset Management Organization, the Supplier Management, forwarders, the warehousing personnel, suppliers and, occasionally, with the customer.
Handle Production and NON-Production Procurements/Repairs requests and tracks orders.
Support metrics and assists in identifying orders issues for resolution or referral.
Enters and tracks delivery requirements and coordinates delivery problem resolution.
Coordinate activities to support the accurate inventory control of assets and monitor customer requirements/inquiries.
Tracks the movement of assets and components through the entire repair cycle.
Adjust and monitor material delivery scheduling based on Production planning requirements as well as unscheduled requirements on different priorities
Coordinate with supply chain and Trade Control to successfully import and export material between the U.S. and Italy in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
Working under close supervision, coordinates implementation of supply chain optimization solutions alongside other supply chain support functions in order to better meet customer requirements.
The candidate shall have direct contact with other members of the SCM team in USA, and with suppliers located in Germany, USA and Italy.
A minimum of 3-years of related work experience in Supply Chain and a basic understanding of supply systems and tools.
Previous knowledge working with airplane parts and assemblies and understanding of aerospace management standards.
Able to complete assignments using technical documentation, support equipment and systems, part interchangeability, data reliability analysis, data extraction, and service related problem resolution.
Can execute the initiatives developed from supply chain strategies (e.g., inventory reduction, parts kitting, supplier consolidation, lead-time reduction)
Knowledge of Boeing's general organizations, processes, program plans, policies and procedures, and Boeing Systems will be a plus.
Work effectively and cooperatively with the team, managers, and members of others work groups; establish and maintain good working relationships.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
The successful candidate shall be a self-starter, highly motivated with strong communication skills.
Ability to multi-task effectively, attention to detail, positive demeanor, and robust work ethic.
The candidate shall be able to interface in English and Italian both written and spoken to support the material support requirements for the site.
Must be willing to work flexible hours (i.e., on-call 24 hours per day, and 7 days per week) as the job requires
