Within our Technical Services department we are currently looking for a:
Supply technical Process Engineer
Playing the key between product development and manufacturing.
As a Supply Technical Process Engineer you will responsible for the implementation of Innovation and Non-Innovation projects in the factory. The role is also responsible for factory support including resolving quality deviations and process optimization. The role also supports the process design and qualification of CAPEX projects
As a Supply Technical Process Engineer your main tasks and activities will include the following:
Provides technical expertise to new initiatives and current projects in the European region in key process technologies such as liquid processing, spray drying, dry powder blending, and powder conveying.
Develops and executes process and product qualifications / validations in conjunction with the R&D and Operations Department.
Responsible for the handover of projects from R&D to the factory. Representing the factory in New Product Development meetings.
Applies understanding of HACCP, GMP’s, regulatory requirements, corporate safety and environmental standards to process design and process qualifications.
Actively participates on capital project teams in the design of processes and equipment selection.
Actively works with the Operations and Quality Teams to resolve quality deviations and lead operational improvements.
Become a Subject Matter Expert for a defined process, capable of representing the business during regulatory audits.
Builds networks internally and externally to ensure access to information required for project execution and process design.
Key result areas:
Define and qualify the manufacturing process (mainly but not limited to liquid processing, spray drying, and dry blending) which is capable of producing the new products and formulations from the R&D dept.
Work in close contact with the R&D teams to ensure new products are capable of full scale manufacture. Identifying processing issues and solutions.
Work in close contact with Manufacturing / Operations department to allow for implementation of new products on time and in full.
Work with the Project Engineering Dept for the process design and qualification of new installations or modification as part of the CAPEX projects.
Resolve operational issues with the manufacturing team.
What are we looking for?
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemical or Food Process Engineering or related technical field with at least 2 years of experience as Process Engineer working with key process technologies (spray drying, dry powder blending, powder conveying and liquid processing).
Solid experience conducting plant trials in a manufacturing environment with proven success starting up new products in key process technologies.
Has worked effectively with teams of multiple functions, from R&D, Quality, Engineering and Operations.
Knowledge of HACCP, quality management, food safety.
Effectively work with teams, positive attitude, and strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information to a diverse audience.
Flexible and able to work in a dynamic environment where a high degree of teamwork and collaboration are required.
Result oriented, has strong willingness to achieve.
