We have a vacancy for a Team Leader based at Wattisham, near Ipswich in Suffolk.
Reporting to the AHIOS Warehouse Manager, the Asset Management Cell (AMC) Team Leader will be responsible for the effective operation of the AMC –handling spares in support of the Apache Mk 1 helicopter. You will lead a small team of Quality Inspectors and warehouse staff, supporting the processes which are carried out within the department.
To review daily performance of your team and to ensure that all internal and customer KPIs associated with the team are achieved.
To actively communicate with other agencies to achieve joint goals. Attend customer meetings as required and maintain a high level of proactive customer relations.
Ensure productivity and performance reports are compiled, distributed and discussed with team in order to assess, review and improve operational performance.
Continuously develop a highly customer focused and motivated team, and help drive KNPS and SC21 principles. Ensure fair and consistent supervision of all employees.
Manage the department workloads/resource allocation on a daily basis.
Promote the Company’s policies on Quality, Health and Safety and Environment
Undertake all warehousing duties, including operation of MHE to ensure efficient operation of the Support Centre.
Report all discrepancies that may have an effect on the performance of the contract to the AHIOS Warehouse Manager. To carry out any additional tasks as agreed with the AHIOS Warehouse Manager.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
Knowledge of military aerospace logistics.
Experience of working to agreed targets and specfic processes, with good attention to detail. Understanding of and experience in warehouse practices.
Experience of managing a small team. Understanding of KPI’s and customer service.
Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Reliable, with good timekeeping and communication skills. People focus, including empathy and engagement.
Flexibility, including task and hours.
The ideal candidate will be PC literate with a working knowledge of MJDI and Microsoft Office software applications.
Applicants should be flexible and willing to learn with a positive outlook toward the working environment. Some travel to other UK operations may be required
