The Global Supply & Master Planning Lead oversees all global supply chain planning activities for the Food Starch Global Business Line. Leads, advises and makes decisions on all major supply chain planning activities jointly with the regional supply chain leads with a long-term outlook and highest impact on business development and results.
Supply Chain Planning Operations
Directs and defines improvement projects and commitments requiring an expert understanding of supply chain planning practices and procedures.
Using advanced knowledge and vast experience, provides guidance and feedback to help team identify areas of improvement and cost management deficiencies to create efficient supply chain planning techniques and tools/systems.
Actively manages and balances the mid-long-term Supply & Demand Balancing planning process for all global facilities and distribution channels, through the thorough analysis of capacity, demand, and inventory triggers. Develop and/or modify production plans and aligns with all global stakeholders to best develop the business.
Monitors channel capacity and coordinates with regional supply chain leads plans in case of gaps to minimize cost to serve and impact to customers. Aligns with other significant stakeholders in the process.
People & Talent Management
Provides coaching and/or training to team, including coaching Cargill core values, personal safety, environmental stewardship, community involvement and development of specific competencies/skills
Process Development Planning & Execution
For globally harmonized IPH provides oversight to team on capacity of inventory in relation to demand of customer orders for the Food Starch Global Business Line with long term outlook. Leads and collaborates with team to determine how and when to modify the original forecast and plan, define stock levels per stock holding point, and execute the distribution network planning process
Uses advanced knowledge of supply chain planning practices and procedures to develop and implement long term sales and operations plans and other supply chain strategies, leads the Global IBP step 2 Capacity and Step 3 Supply & Demand Balancing for the Food Starch Global Product Line
Owns and provides leadership on all forecasting processes related to Capacity. Evaluates and reviews processes, and advises stakeholders how to refine it.
Systems / Data Management, Reporting & Analysis
Oversees analysis work on evaluation, tracking and creation of reports for service level agreements for customers.
Ensures relationships related to tools/systems are kept intact (e.g. accurate capacity planning, as well as other databases within the business related to shipments and inventory management items.)
Defines and publishes KPIs (key performance indicators), and implements actions to improve best practices across a large team.
Customer & Client Interaction, Business Partnership
Provides advice and counsel to internal stakeholders (e.g. regional BU planning teams, sales, capacity management, plant operations, CTL and procurement) on the impacts of their supply chain plan.
4-yr college/University degree, preferably with an emphasis in finance, supply chain or another relevant program
MBA with an emphasis on supply chain or Master’s degree in Supply Chain or Operations is preferred
Fluent in English both verbal and written (another European language is preferred)
8+ yrs experience in business systems, processes, logistics, operations, supply chain, or finance.
Demonstrated expertise in a global supply chain environment with a highly complex/high SKU count, global product flows, and a wide mix of specialty and commodity products.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams of 5 or more direct or indirect reports
Experience in impact and influence roles and working in complex matrix environments
