About the Role:
In the role of Supply Planner you will be responsible for supply and availability of Thorntons branded products across the UK and Ireland market ensuring that demand is met in full at the best possible freshness.
You’ll be working with key stakeholders internally and externally, ensuring that stock is positioned appropriately across the network, striking the right balance between maximising picking availability and warehouse capacity constraints. You’ll be accountable for the integrity of supply planning data within SAP APO and will be required to produce monthly and weekly performance reports covering the end to end supply chain.
Excellent communication skills are key to ensure the timely communication of priorities, issues and criticalities to all relevant stakeholders. You will need to be proactive – working collaboratively with colleagues in Demand Planning and the Retail division to ensure that potential surplus stock is managed effectively, as well as liaising with the Thorntons plant scheduling department and third party suppliers to understand and clearly communicate constrained supply lines covering the maximum planning horizon.
Who we are looking for:
To be successful in this role will need to be able to demonstrate a good level of experience working with complex, multi-tier planning and MRP systems in FMCG or Retail environments, along with experience of defining and leading continuous improvement projects. You will need excellent numerical and analytical skills with a proven ability in advanced data modelling and be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel. You’ll need to be highly organised with great time management in order to prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.
Not content with the status quo you’ll strive for excellence, always looking to improve processes and eliminate delays. A proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely as well as strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and strong working relationships quickly are vital in this role, along with being confident in your approach and having the necessary influencing skills to question and challenge when necessary.
How to be successful in the role and at Ferrero:
Consumers, quality and care are at the heart of everything we do. So, to be successful at Ferrero, you’ll need to be just as consumer and product centric as we are - dedicated to crafting brilliant results for consumers around the world.
