A vacancy for a Transport Manager (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse (Palays site). As the successful candidate you will join the Transport, Customs and Logistics (TC&L) Operations France department. As Transport Manager, you will be responsible to analyse, implement, manage and monitor with sub-tiers transport contractors. You will report to the French Transport Manager located in Elancourt (France).
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Owner of local transport process
Update Airbus Defence and Space Transport process documentation
Communicate to sub-tiers
Coordinate transport standard with Logistics and Customs unit and Improvement and Performance service
Manage Transport non-conformities (create non-conformities, manage correctives action with Quality Service Provider Manager, participate of operational quality review)
Analyze transport requester’s needs
Collect all external transport requestors needs
Redact operational work specification
Call for Tender advisor
Selection, validation and integration of sub-tiers
Manage and monitor sub-tiers
Operational Referent and Warrant Sub-tiers contracts
Participate of Operational Transport Review with sub-tiers
Monitor Key Performance Indicator (metric and performance) and analyse risk on transport activities
Manage and track transport budget and cost
Pilot and follow sub-tiers continuous improvement and establishment of change request
Deploy and implement Visual Lean Management meeting
Benchmark to develop and deploy best practices
Empowerment participation of transport organization within Airbus Defence and Space
Transport Toulouse Action log follow-up
Participate to Weekly Transport department
Report to French Transport Manager
Cooperate with all teams involved (TC&L Improvement & Performance, General Procurement, Quality department, …).
This role will involve travel for business in France, Europe and some opportunities in worldwide and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
You will have the following skills and experience:
Educated to Master Degree (or equivalent) in High Business School, Supply chain or a related discipline
Deep knowledge in Transport Activities with a first experience would be appreciated
Experience on customs activity
Lean Logistics and production planning
Customer expectations and needs
Project Lifecycle Management
Team Spirit and good relationship
Analyse, synthesis sense, pragmatic
Sense of adaptability
Negotiation and finance basics
Negotiation level of French and English
