This role can be based in Belgium, the Netherlands or the UK. Cluster Category Manager (CCM) for Benelux / UK / Ireland / Israel is responsible for strategic sourcing and procurement activities at a Country / Site level and cross divisional, primary point contact for Supply Chain stakeholders. Their main focus is the execution of strategic sourcing projects and the management of key country / site suppliers in accordance with the Annual Category Plans and Category Strategies. They may be involved in country, regional or divisional global projects, as agreed. The CCM follows the Category Management process including leading proactive sourcing projects, specification definition and demand management activities, as well as managing Country Category-specific supplier performance and innovation activities. Accountabilities: . Engaging key Warehousing & Distribution stakeholders to identify requirements, develop comprehensive understanding of Research team strategies and priorities – communicate, collaborate, translate – to incorporate the requirements into procurement category strategies, to justify resources, prioritize and deliver value to the stakeholders via application of Procurement processes, levers, third party relationships and market knowledge . Apply all Procurement levers (Demand, Process, Supply, Innovation) in identifying solutions and opportunities with stakeholders to deliver savings and process efficiencies. . Responsible for providing Country Category input to the Regional or Global Category team to inform the bottom up target setting process as aligned to the Procurement Calendar. . Responsible for translating the final aligned top-down targets into local initiatives in line with any existing category plans/strategies. . Responsible for analysis of any gaps in country / site level procurement performance and developing and implementing action plans to close the gaps. . Responsible for updating and maintaining project information on the Novartis Project Pipeline Tracking Tool (SavePlan and SaveTrack). Including validation with BPAs or Stakeholders of final Impact to Bottom Line and Productivity. . Responsible for the collection of supplier, market category, internal business data, and internal stakeholder information needed to inform project determination and execution at a local, regional and global level. • Responsible for providing country / site level input and validation to the Global Category Strategy, including facilitating involvement of relevant country-level stakeholders prior to strategy development. . Responsible for ensuring project delivery is aligned to business needs and priorities supported by the long term Category Strategy, sub-category strategy, and any category related guidelines e.g. Category playbook/strategy or category card. . Responsible for inputting the local activities into the Annual Category Plans. . Responsible for translating and communicating the Annual Category Plans with stakeholders and end users and facilitating any required feedback for plan adjustment
Bachelor’s degree required at a minimum, Master’s degree preferred, in fields such as business administration, finance or a scientific or technical field. Strong preference for engineering or SCM.
