This role would have you supervising a team of operatives who operate from our Raymond Close component warehouse to supply the materials for the UK Manufacturing Units.
You’ll plan and conduct timely deliveries to our factories and organise the booking in and inspection of delivered materials from our supply chain.
You’ll keep production fed to ticket and manage their stock for the purchasing and planning functions.
We're looking for someon skilled in logistics administration and team leadership in a warehouse environment.
Your eye for detail will ensure our requirements are met for bulk, prototype and sample footwear manufacture.
You will be familiar with raising pick lists, updating delivery details and dates and organising inventory. The role reports directly to the Production Manager.
THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART
The role is to take ownership from delivery of the MIE Component warehouse to all movement of materials into the Made In England factories.
As Component Warehouse Supervisor, a working knowledge of the components and coding of finished goods is required to make Dr. Martens product along with the ability to follow our picking and Job ticketing system. The role also requires ownership of all inventory audits and stock counts.
The role requires good communication and reporting skills. The role would work closely with all Production areas, the logistics & supply chain and the Distribution Centre.
The role requires accurate documentation for material booking and release
The role will be expected to be involved with continuous improvement initiatives, supply chain management and support the running of internal processes.
It is possible there will be occasions when the Employee is expected to work in other areas of the factory and possibly in other areas of the business.
