We’re looking for someone happy to work with technical data and be in charge of our specifications system, among other exciting technical tasks, to join the Fruit Technical team as a technical administrator.
The technical administrator role supports the Fruit Technical team on our day to day operations, innovation projects and everything that goes into creating our amazing drinks so this would be a fabulous opportunity for someone internal considering a move into the world of Technical and loving the world of ingredients.
In this role you’ll work with the people responsible for the safety, quality, legality and sustainability of our ingredients. You will work closely with technical functions and other areas of the business, as well as with external partners (ingredients suppliers and service providers).
Your responsibilities will be a combination of activities to support our Fruit Technical ingredients team and the flow of information with other teams and external stakeholders.
You will be responsible for supporting the annual ingredients suppliers performance review, to ensure that all of our suppliers meet and maintain the required standards to supply to innocent.
You will be responsible for looking after our ingredients due diligence testing program (micro, chemicals, authenticity), maintaining the trackers and managing our sampling plan to secure 100% compliance at the end of the year, as well as updating the due diligence monthly KPIs presentation, which you will present to the team every month.
You will also support the team on sensory approval sample management, including setting up sensory assessment session and performing sensory assessment along with the relevant technologist.
You will, as well, be involved in raising and managing operational non-conformance including liaising with the supplier to communicate and investigate the issue, as well as supporting in closing off process. Sometimes this will also mean run data trending and analysis so here is when your attention to detail will shine.
Within the team we not only manage operational non-conformance, we are also accountable for the closing off of third party external audits to our suppliers, so you will support the technologists on making sure this process works smoothly, particularly focusing on closing off long term ones.
Ingredients specifications are a key part of the supplier management system and keeping them up to date will be one of your responsibilities; we sometimes need to create manufacturing site specification as well so you will be doing that and updating those a when needed.
We have a solid commitment to efficiency and improving ways of working so, as part of your role, you will be encouraged to identify and implement any efficiency improvement across processes and procedures.
These activities will go hand in hand with managing data trending and quality management system documentation, as well as maintaining clear communication with both external partners and others teams at innocent.

In a nutshell, your role will be instrumental in allowing the Fruit Technical team not only to problem solve, push continuous improvement with team and our suppliers, but also to support them in finding the best ingredients all over the world.
Basic knowledge of food quality systems and 3rd party accreditation systems
Strong organisational skills and critical thinking - experience in planning or managing process within the food industry would be ideal withing
Analytical and problem solving skills - we work with a lot of data, so you’ll need to be comfortable manipulating and analysing data in our systems, including Excel
Clear communicator - ability to translate complex things into a simple message accommodating different levels of details to the appropriate stakeholders
Diverse experience in the innocent technical world
